“The Only Reason We Fail Is Because Of Broken Focus.” #FocusFriday

“If we are paying attention to our lives, we’ll recognise those defining moments. The challenge for so many of us is that we are so deep into daily distractions and ‘being busy, busy’ that we miss out on those moments and opportunities that – if jumped on – would get our careers and personal lives to a whole new level of WOW.” – Robin S. Sharma

So many of us are kept off track, busy being busy, but not being productive. Anytime the winds of life blow against our emotional sails we find ourselves thrown off course by unnecessary distractions. The law of concentration says that whatever we dwell upon grows and increases in our lives. we must be persistent enough to trust our instincts, shut out doubt and fear, and with steely focus refuse to give up on what we have decided we want from life. We don’t have to love the hard work, we just need to crave the end result.

As we all know, “Quality is better than Quantity” and how much we do pales in comparison to us staying consistent and making quality gains. Doing a smaller amount on a regular basis, with total focus will help us to surpass our expectations. Don’t despise the day of small beginnings. Small steps towards your goals are just cause for recognition. Nothing is too small to notice.

“That’s been one of my mantras – focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.” – Steve Jobs

“Believing Is Seeing!” #WednesdayWisdom

“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.” -Buddha

That what you think, you create. What you feel, you attract, and what you imagine, you become!

What you think about, you bring about! Anything that you can see, hear, or touch, has come from creative thought. Creative visualization is the source of everything on the planet. The thoughts you believe will determine what happens in your life. Belief is the power that heals, cures and makes whole what is broken. Belief is the miraculous power that causes people to achieve, and it is faith in it’s simplest form. There is magic in thinking and believing.

Desires and Fears alike both come from your thoughts. Negative thoughts attract just as powerfully and consistent as positive thoughts. Your thoughts and beliefs need to be concentrated on what you want, not what you don’t want. Only entertain thoughts that empower you, and eliminate thoughts that devour you.

Believing is seeing, and a person’s thoughts will make or break them. Create a mental picture of your new life and take the action in order to bring it to pass. You must take action, because faith without works is dead. Do what it takes to bring into your life what you’ve always wanted. Change your thought life and you change your destiny!

“I AM” : The Two Most Significant Words To Your Destiny! #MondayMotivation

“How you see yourself holds the greatest impact on your life. It is the predictor of all future achievements and the catalyst to how you treat yourself and others. It is the hand that shapes the clay of your reality. If you don’t see yourself as WONDERFUL, POWERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, TALENTED, LOVING, WISE, and BLESSED – then you are sadly mistaken about the MIRACLE of who you are.”-Dwaun S. Cox

“Here is a simple formula for successful fishing. First decide what it is you want to express or possess. This is essential. You must definitely know what you want of life before you can fish for it. After your decision is made, turn from the world of sense, remove your attention from the problem and place it on just being by repeating quietly but with feeling, “I AM.” As your attention is removed from the world round about you and placed upon the I AM so that you are lost in the feeling of simply being, you will find yourself slipping the anchor that tied you to the shallows of your problem; and effortlessly you will find yourself moving out into the deep.”- Neville Goddard, Your Faith Is Your Fortune.

Self Esteem: How do you see you?

I read where where a doctor said that he doesn’t ask people “what’s wrong with them?” He asks “Who’s wrong with them?” Most of the emotional problems that people have stem from other people; from giving them too much power over how you feel about you. Self -Esteem is just that. It’s how you feel about yourself. Don’t allow what others dislike or disagree with about you to become your problem, it’s theirs and theirs alone. Take back the power to feel great about you, It’s your responsibility to motivate yourself from within. You have to believe in who you are even when no one else does. Encourage and compliment yourself. You might as well become your own best friend, you’re the only one who’s stuck with you for the rest of your life! Be mindful to treat yourself well today!

“They may have robbed You of Your trust but Your faith cannot be stolen.
They may have shot down Your dreams but Your vision hasn’t died.
They may misappraised Your worth but You are valuable beyond measure; and They may have caused You to be delayed but You will not be denied. You possess a God given right to be do and have all that You desire from this life. Don’t relinquish that power. Appreciate Yourself enough to exercise it.” – Dwaun S. Cox

“I’m not interested in trying to work on other people’s perceptions. I am who I am, and if you don’t take the time to learn about that, then your perception is going to be your problem.”-Jim Brown

“Get Uncomfortable With Your Comfort-Zone!” #MondayMotivation

In life nothing remains the same. The world is constantly moving forward, and If your life is not moving with it in one direction, it must in all certainty be moving in the opposite. Don’t get caught sleepwalking on the conveyor belt of life, fumbling about but getting nowhere fast in the viscious cycle of a comfort-zone.
Refuse to be content with the way things are, and instead be inspired by how much greater they could be.  Although it may seem warm and fuzzy; the end result of a comfort-zone is the death of unlimited potential and marvellous dreams.

“CANEI – Constant And Never Ending Improvement” – Tony Robbins

Choose to grow every waking moment, because without growth you are now all you’re ever going to be. Discomfort will challenge you to rise against the status quo and make improvements in you life. Where you are now may be good for today, but in order to equip yourself for what lies ahead, you need to incur growth. You must be willing to reach, stretch, seek and risk. It’s better to take the initiative to prepare yourself and sprint toward your future, than to be painfully dragged from your past.

Step out of your comfort-zone and step into the happiness, prosperity, and purpose that you were created to enjoy!

“Even perfection has room for improvement!”- Ty Warner

The Cost Of Any Dream Is “Your Life”, So You Might As Well Dream Big!

When you finally expire, whatever you’ve done during your lifetime is what you’ve traded your life for. And the cost of a big dream, a small dream and no dream are the same; YOUR LIFE! You’re going to spend it anyhow, so you might as well dream big! You’ve been through turmoil, disappointment, and heartache and you’re still here. Do you ever wonder why? It’s because you’ve been built for higher things! You’re an empire builder, a conduit for miracles, and a giant slayer. Quit pushing your dreams back. Reset your priorities, look for signals and ignore the cost. Overcoming incredible odds requires using your faith, no one else can use it for you. Faith turns weaknesses into strength, dreams into reality, and inspires and demands action. Faith honors yourself and your creator by accepting the plan, power and purpose for your life. It turns spiritual midgets into giants, sees all problems as opportunities and is the key to the door of the supernatural. Faith is your currency! Put your faith to use, be empowered, look for signals and ignore the cost. You’ve been built for higher things!

Fail Fast+Learn Fast+Fix Fast = Success #MotivationMonday

“It’s ok to fall down or get knocked down, but it’s not ok for you to stay down. And the quicker you get up, the better off you’ll be. Fall down 7 times, but quickly stand up 8.”

Mistakes in life are inevitable. Mistakes are a part of growth, development and the evolution of human existence. Mistakes are inevitable, they will be made; but lingering in misery because of mistakes is optional, and never a good idea.

In all areas of life we err, miscalculate or are just flat out wrong. We choose the wrong people for relationships, the wrong jobs, the wrong investments, the wrong diet, and then we adopt the wrong attitude toward our erroneous choices. We all slip and fall in the mud at times, the key is not lay there and wallow in it.

Failure is an opportunity to learn, not an invitation to quit. It’s an educational blessing in disguise that offers you a chance start anew, realizing what didn’t work and moving towards what does. Failure isn’t failure until you give up. As long as you have breath in your body you have an opportunity to become great. Be tenacious in attaining your goals, make things happen, and know that it’s not over until you WIN!

“Dreams are not aspirational they are foundational. The key is to fail fast, learn fast, and fix fast. relentless execution is the killer app. Shift from getting things done to making things Happen.”-Kevin Roberts CEO Saatchi & Saatchi

How Far Are You Willing To Go?

“I think back on my life at all the times I thought I went too far, and I realize now that I didn’t go far enough.” – Unknown

When is the last time you’ve put all that you had into achieving success? When is the last time you’ve been blamed for taking on too much, doing more than you ought to, or spreading yourself too thin? If you haven’t heard these words in a while, it’s time to “step your game up”!  You need to become a “Radical” for your dreams, and a Radical, by definition, is a far-reaching, extreme, progressive, diehard. Your goals and desires need to become your MAGNIFICIENT OBSESSION that you refuse to live without!

241e7b5d46b6483d6e5d3937dcf03ef8It’s been said that life is to be lived to its fullest or not at all. Take every opportunity to exceed your expectations that you’ve set for yourself. Don’t allow anything or anyone to disrupt your destiny. People too weak to follow their own dreams will always find a way to discourage yours. Protect your energy, your focus and your purpose with your life!

“Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” – T.S. Eliot

Exude your Strength – #MondayMotivation

“Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements and impossibilities: It is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.”- Thomas Carlyle

“A truly strong person does not need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep.”- Vernon Howard

“Today is a day of new beginnings. A time to harness the power that you’ve always possessed. Commanding all fears and doubts to fall by the wayside, while continually encouraging yourself every step of the way. Today is a day of overcoming, knowing that the obstacles that impede your progress will only provide an opportunity for you to exude your strength. Believe in yourself even when others don’t, know that you will succeed with or without their support. The moment you refuse to quit on who you are, is the moment you create your very own miracle!”- Dwaun S. Cox

Refuse To Accept The Mediocrity Of An Unlived Life!

“Solitude is strength; to depend on the presence of the crowd is weakness. The man who needs a mob to nerve him is much more alone than he imagines.” – Paul Brunton

It comes a time in everyone’s life when they are confronted with the choice of either going along with the status quo and making a decision that most people would make, or stepping out on faith, believing in themselves and following their dreams. If you’re not living life on your terms then I must inform you that no matter who you are, you’re one day closer to leaving this earth.

Many people don’t act on their desires because the people in their life don’t support them. Don’t expect everybody to be excited about your dream. They may not see your vision, and you shouldn’t expect them to. Your vision is your vision for a reason. There is something that you are to do that no one else can do as well as you, and you can’t expect other people to champion you to your destiny. Your journey may be one that you have to encourage yourself to endeavor. Believe in who you are. Don’t let the doubt from others cause you to doubt yourself.

“A man who wants to lead the orchestra must turn his back on the crowd.” – Max Lucado

Most people will tell you how difficult life is, just so they can fail with dignity. Because they were afraid to go after what they wanted in life they hope that you also decide to forego your dreams. Misery loves company.

The richest land in the world is not the gold mines, diamond mines, or the oil fields. The wealthiest land in the world is the cemetery, because so many great people have given the grave yard a great gift. So many Doctors, Lawyers, Singers, Actors, Writers, Inventors, Athletes, Business Owners, and the list goes on and on with those who have died without ever becoming who they were supposed to be. Decide what you want and decide what you’re willing to trade to get it. Vow to achieve all that you were put here to accomplish, and die empty. Enjoy your life as if there’s no tomorrow, because there’s no guarantee that there is.

“The purpose of life is a life of purpose.” – Robert Byrne

Sands Of Time: What’s your time worth (cont.)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5As2lwyORME

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 7b

Sands Of Time:

The subject of time is so vitally important to our success that this post will be dividied into two parts. This is part 2.  Also, feel free to listen to the audio on youtube by clicking the link above.

“Know the true value of time; snatch, seize, and enjoy every moment of it. No idleness, no laziness, no procrastination: never put off till tomorrow what you can do today.”                        – Philip Stanhope, 4th Earl of Chesterfield

There is definitely is a difference between living a long life, and living a strong life. Quality has trumped quantity since the beginning of time, and there’s no exception when it comes to spending time. Alexander The Great, Amelia Earhard, Joan Of Arc, Bruce Lee, Bob Marley, Martin Luther king, and Jesus all lived very short lives. In fact, all of them died before the age of 40; but what they did with their time on earth left such a profound impact on the world that their legacies are still alive today.

You may delay, become stagnant or idle but time will not, it keeps ticking. With or without your participation the show must go on. So don’t waste time, pass time or kill time. It’s been said that the time you kill, is killing you. All great achievements don’t take a lot of time, but they do require faith, initiative, sustained effort and commitment. Whatever you do invest the time to do it right so you don’t have to waste the time to do it over.

“Time goes too slow for those who are bored, to quick for those who procrastinate. Too long for those without goals and too short for those without focus. But for the man or woman who lives a life pursuing purpose, timing is perfect, and their time is always now.” ― Dwaun S. Cox

I’ve found that people are no longer afraid to die, they’re afraid to live; don’t follow suit. Since you woke up this morning you might as well enjoy yourself. And taking steps to become who you can become is the best way to be fulfilled. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow may never come, but today is the best day of your life. Why, you might ask; because it’s the only day you’ve got. Decide this very second to maximize your moments by partnering with God moving towards your destiny and accomplishing your goals. All the while remaining resolute, resilient and relentless until the victory that you’re seeking is yours!

“Life is just a minute-only 60 seconds in it. Forced upon you-can’t refuse it. Didn’t seek it-didn’t choose it, But it’s up to you to use it. You must suffer if you lose it. Give an account if you abuse it. Just a tiny little minute, But eternity is in it.”– Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays

Sands Of Time: What’s Yours Worth?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5As2lwyORME

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 7a

Sands Of Time:

The subject of time is so vitally important to our success that this post will be dividied into two parts. Also,  feel free to listen to the audio on youtube by clicking the link above.

“Life is just a minute-only 60 seconds in it. Forced upon you-can’t refuse it. Didn’t seek it-didn’t choose it, But it’s up to you to use it. You must suffer if you lose it. Give an account if you abuse it. Just a tiny little minute, But eternity is in it.” – Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays

Have you ever heard the expression “Time is money”? Well it’s true. Time is the first currency that God gave man, it’s the life-blood of all human existence, and the most valuable asset that any of us possess. In economics the scarcity principle is based upon the future unavailability of a particular thing. What better example of scarcity than time on earth, which is regarded as priceless, since each of us is allotted a limited amount. Money and material items can be replaced, but time that has passed can never be retrieved. Because it’s a resource, time can be lost, stolen, wasted, or invested. What’s the rate of return on your time? How are you spending it? Are you proactively investing your precious moments? Or are you allowing yourself or others to cause them to be lost, stolen or wasted?

Respect for your time and for the time of others will be a predictor of your future achievemnets, or lack thereof. Everything you have in your life, you’ve been willing to trade your time for. Whatever you’re lacking in your life, you’ve been unwilling to trade your time for. God gives us 10,080 minutes a week to exchange for intellect, income, relationships and favor. How many of those minutes are being invested towards your life goals?

Time is what we need the most, but value the least. And until you value yourself and demand that others do the same, you won’t value your time and neither will they. Incorporating goal setting raises the value of your moments and causes you to use them efficiently and more effectively.

There is a time for everything, but time doesn’t solve everything. Contrary to popular belief, time doesn’t heal, reveal or teach. If it did we wouldn’t need a God. There are some old, broken, blinded fools. Wisdom doesn’t necessarily come with age, sometimes age just comes by itself.

Although it’s been referred to as “father-time”, time is a gift from God and he would never create anything that could take the place of his presence in our lives. He has always been and will forever be The Father and  our one and only true source.

Time also cannot be managed. The term time management itself is an oxymoron. Time cannot be controlled or manipulated in any way. So if you’re trying to find time, you might as well quit looking. On any given day 24 hours is the best it’s going to get. Stop trying to manage time and manage yourself. Manage your life in such a way that you’re not just busy, but that your busy being productive building your empire and creating your legacy.  (to be continued)

The Power Of Focus!

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 6

The Power of Focus:

“If we are paying attention to our lives, we’ll recognise those defining moments. The challenge for so many of us is that we are so deep into daily distractions and ‘being busy, busy’ that we miss out on those moments and opportunities that – if jumped on – would get our careers and personal lives to a whole new level of WOW.” – Robin S. So many of us are kept off track, busy being busy, but not being productive. Anytime the winds of life blow against our emotional sails we find ourselves distractracted by unnecessary distractions. Some of us feel like we don’t have enough time, but we need to know that we have all the time we’re going to get. Simplifying our lives is the beginning of making the best use of our time. The more parts there are to a machine, the more of a chance there is of a breakdown. So it is with life; dont over-complicate your life. Confusion always paralyzes progress. Simplify your life because its necessary to eliminate the unnecessary.

You May Not Be To Blame But You Are Responsible!

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 5

Personal Responsibility:

“They may have robbed You of Your trust but Your faith cannot be stolen. They may have shot down Your dreams but Your vision hasn’t died. They may misappraised Your worth but You are valuable beyond measure; and They may have caused You to be delayed but You will not be denied. You possess a God given right to be do and have all that You desire from this life. Don’t relinquish that power. Appreciate Yourself enough to exercise it.”
― Dwaun S. Cox

Things happen in our lives that are at times out of our control, extremely painful and cause us to question the meaning of our existence. The problem with our problems is that they are not always our fault so we feel that we are powerless or not obligated to solve them. We put the blame on whatever caused them and sit there with our lip poked out and our arms crossed demanding a resolution.

We may not be the cause of our problems, and we may not know how to solve them, but we still possess the ability to respond (RESPONSE-ABILITY). We have an obligation to ourselves to not allow what we feel is an issue in our lives to consume us and destroy us from within. We can respond in faith knowing that we have a purpose, knowing that the only thing that is permanent is change, and knowing that its not over until we win. We can ill afford for our dilemma’s to infect our attitude, our self-image; and most of all our belief that something better awaits us.

“Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.” – Winston Churchill

The universal law of “As the within, so the without”, suggests that worry, doubt and fear from perceived problems cause unnecessary stress. Stress that causes cancer, high blood pressure, heart disease and a list of endless ill’s. The only people without problems are those in the cemetery. We will have problems all of our lives, but how we respond to them will determine not only outcome of the difficulty, but also the care and concern we have for our own mental, physical and spiritual health.

“Worry is interest paid on trouble before it comes due.” – William Ralph Inge

Next time you are facing an obstacle, make it a stepping stone by responding to it with unrelenting resilience, fearless faith, and perfect peace. You may not be able to control the problem but you can control how you respond to it, it’s your responsibility, take back your power by using it!

Self Acceptance: “To love yourself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” – Oscar Wilde

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 4

Self-Acceptance:

Self-Reliance, Self-Esteem, Self-Respect, and Self-Confidence all begin with Self-Acceptance. Many of us stay disappointed in ourselves because we don’t believe that we are where we should be in life. We are constantly comparing ourselves with other people, to who we could’ve been, and most damaging; to who others believe we should be. We are allowing ourselves to waste valuable moments being frustrated while waiting hopelessly on a miracle. News Flash: You don’t have to wait on a miracle, you are a MIRACLE!

“We have met the enemy and he is us.” – Walt Kelly

When you don’t see the awesome beauty of who you are, and fail to lovingly accept yourself despite your short-comings and past mistakes; you in fact become your own greatest enemy. You diminish your own value, destroy your self-esteem, induce your own depression and block your own blessings. You’re not a failure and you are significant. You survived the divorce or break-up. You survived the unemployment. You survived the illness and every other so called disaster that has crossed your path; and you’re still here, or you wouldn’t be reading this. Don’t throw in the towel in the middle of the fight-You’re still undefeated, and this fight isn’t over until you win.

Stop waiting for other people to say that they accept or love you. Tell yourself how much you love, adore and cherish the person that you are. Celebrate yourself, become your own biggest fan; and refuse to be upset with others for not saying and doing what you refuse to say and do for yourself.

Self-interest isn’t selfishness and Self-Acceptance isn’t saying that you’re all you’re ever going to be or that you don’t want more. Self-Acceptance recognizes that you’ll be happy, loving and enjoying who you are while you’re moving forward, growing, developing and blessing the world with your magnificence.

You attract into your life what you believe you are worthy of. Decide to appreciate the person you are, just as you are. Apologize to yourself for not treating the person you are as well as you ought to. Make it a point to love and take care of yourself as well as you love and take care of others. Who you are is more than enough and you are more than worthy.

Stay Motivated!

“You are one of one for a reason. It’s a gift to be different, a blessing to be unique, and there’s an advantage to being an original. You can’t get what’s yours while striving to be somebody else. Embrace your individuality, so you can appreciate everyone else’s.”  Dwaun S. Cox

The Purge: Drop The Dead Weight, And Trim The Fat!

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 3

Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go – purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything… whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out. – Tina Turner

The Purge:

Some people will perform spring cleaning in their homes or businesses, but will refuse to do it for their lives. The amount of time us humans spend on earth is far too short to allow our existence to be cluttered with distractions. If we’re not careful our lives become congested with damaged emotions, things, activities, foods, and even people that hold us back and weigh us down. It’s time to trim the fat and to drop the dead weight. Your load needs to be lightened so that you can streamline your focus and accelerate your “goal-getting”.

Damaged emotions need to be healed. Harmful foods can be replaced with more healthy choices, and people can be cut off or given limited access in your life. Don’t shy away from offending people if that is what’s necessary for you to protect your own interest. Everyone breathing has been blessed with this gift of life. You don’t have to apologize for living yours in a way that allows you to accomplish all you were put on earth to achieve; surrounded by loving, caring people who support and celebrate your efforts. Maximize your moments and be the conqueror you were born to be!

“You wanna fly, you got to give up the s#!t that weighs you down.” – Toni Morrison, Song of Soloman

“You don’t ever have to feel guilty about removing toxic people from your life. It doesn’t matter whether someone is a relative, romantic interest, employer, childhood friend, or a new acquaintance — you don’t have to make room for people who cause you pain or make you feel small. It’s one thing if a person owns up to their behavior and makes an effort to change. But if a person disregards your feelings, ignores your boundaries, and “continues” to treat you in a harmful way, they need to go.”― Daniell Koepke

Purposely Positive: An Incurable Optimist!

Staying Motivated to Make This Year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 2

“A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” – Winston Churchill

Become An Incurable Optimist:

With the powerball Jackpot being $1.5 billion, people have flocked to buy tickets. Almost instantly you have people (some of whom are against gambling) standing in lines at some places for hours for their sliver of a chance to win the jackpot. People are already planning what they’ll do with the money if or when they win. That’s a beautiful thing to me; it proves that deep down most people feel that even when the odds are against them, they still have hope and believe they have a chance (albeit a very slim one) to become a winner.

If only we applied that attitude to every area of our lives; our health, finances, careers, spirituality and our relationships would improve. Most importantly our self-esteem, self-confidence and our love of self would inevitably become stronger. If we carried the belief that wonderful things could happen and that God was not out of the miracle business, we would witness our faith move mountains. We would acknowledge that our temporary failures and defeats are only lessons to be learned, and life lessons add to our character and preapare us for the victories that lie ahead.

If you have lost your faith, belief or optimism it can be relearnt. You can begin by paying particular attention to your thoughts, speech and your attitude. Be purposely positive. Abolish and eradicate any thoughts, words, or deeds that don’t bless yourself or the lives of others. Your spirit is built for the supernatural. Faith smiles at the impossible. Our perspective is so much better for us and everyone we are connected to when we change our attitudes towards our lives and become incurable optimists.

I love those who yearn for the impossible. Magic is believing in yourself, if you can do that you can make anything happen.” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Here’s To The Best Year Of Your Life!

2016 is here, and many of us have resolutions, goals and dreams that we would love to see realized this calendar. I will be doing a 7 part “Stay Motivated!” series every other business day for the next few weeks. It will include valuable gems that will assist you in making this year, “Your Best Year Ever.”

Part 1

Tomorrow – (noun) a mystical land where 99% of all human productivity, motivation and achievement is stored.

     1. Create A Sense Of Urgency:

Although this is the beginning of the year, it’s the best time for you to cover the most ground on achieving your goals. The holidays are over, you have six months before summer and you can build momentum by getting the ball rolling now in the right direction.

     2. Invest Your Time And Energy Where It Will Pay The Greatest Dividends:

Time is more valuable than money, and you wouldn’t intentionally throw your money away (which can be replaced), so why would you throw away your time (which can never be recovered). Be more mindful of the use of your precious moments. Limit your time on social media, or if you can go on a social media fast (where you cut it out completely for a while). Limit your television, video games, unproductive conversations and news watching. Take advantage of the time consumed by devices and invest that time into your growth, development and ultimate success.

Start this year off in the right direction by staying focused on your goals and all that you want to accomplish. Don’t invest your time and/or energy where it doesn’t bring you a return, and take your time but hurry! Take your time acquiring all the knowledge and the skills necessary for your goals, and once you’ve acquired the know-how; don’t waste another second. Create a sense of urgency and hurry up toward your success!

PAIN: The Wise Teacher And The Accurate Guide!

“Success presupposes the willingness to bear pain.” – Peter J. Daniels

The phrase no pain, no gain is a universal mantra that applies to every human being on earth. Actually even without gain, pain will be with each and every one of us to some degree or another during the course of our entire lives.

Pain is an indicator of discomfort. It indicates grief, sorrow, disappointment, growth, and even sacrifice.

As humans we’ve been taught to avoid pain, but when pain is unavoidable we need to be able to endure and not give up, because on the other side of pain is success. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Pain is inevitable but being able to keep going even when it hurts, separates the victim from the victorious.

There are two types of pain when striving for success in life. One is Pain from discipline and the other is pain from regret. Pain from discipline weighs an ounce while pain from regret weighs a ton. Pain can be a lifesaver; because pain makes a man think, thinking makes a man wise and knowledge and wisdom are the keys to a peaceful successful life.

Pain is an emotion that we all feel yet many of us don’t see the benefit of it. At times avoiding pain prevents the privilege of reward. Giving up on the pain of sacrifice ruins what would’ve been a great relationship, giving up on the pain of problem solving ruins what would’ve been a great businesses. Even when excercising giving up to avoid the pain of being sore, or the pain eating clean prevents us from growing stronger and developing what would’ve been a better physique.

Like stepping on hot asphalt with no shoes on, pain will make you move in one direction or the other. Don’t allow your pain to cause you to digress. When your pain hits you the hardest, be as determined as ever to move forward with progress. It’s always darkest before dawn and in life we usually get our second wind when the going is the toughest. There is something in us that thrives on difficulties. We are designed with physical and mental resources for outlasting pain. We cherish triumphs more that cost us extra effort to win. We need to be challenged, tested and encounter unusual hardships to see what we are capable of  overcoming and achieving. When we realize that the power to meet any emergency is within ourselves and that pain is an indicator to rise to the challenge, we build our self confidence, our self reliance and our self esteem. Three traits essential for living a life without limits. So embrace and endure the pleasure of pain, because it truly is a wise teacher and an accurate guide.

A Good Aim Is No Good If You Don’t Pull The Trigger!

If you plan on being anything less than you are capable of being, you will probably be unhappy all the days of your life.-Abraham Maslow

For the most part we trade our lives for a lot less than they’re worth, then we become who we are because we accept a lie that we were not worth anything more. The dreams, visions and desires that you have for your life are there for a reason; to be achieved. You are greater than your circumstances. It is in our DNA to always want to become more of who we are, and we should never ignore that urge within ourselves to reach higher.

The greater danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it; but that it is too low, and we reach it.-Michelangelo

Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent.- Calvin Coolidge

You Are A Magnificent, Motivated, Miracle Who Was Placed On This Earth To Achieve Marvelous Things!

You are a Magnificent, Motivated, Miracle who was placed on this earth to achieve Marvelous things!- Dwaun S. Cox

For many people the idea of having what they want from life has become non existent. They feel like their time has passed to be able to truly enjoy life, and now they must settle. They make comments such as, “If I had it to do all over again”, “If I could start all over”, or “If I could go back in time”. Getting a do over of this life is not possible, but there’s good news; you can do even better.

You may not be able to start over from scratch but you can “begin again”. You can forgive yourself for any shortcoming, recommit yourself to your betterment and get back on track. Reevaluate your past attempts, eliminate what hindered your progress and do more of what assisted in your victories. As long as you have have breath in your body, you can change your perspective. Utilize your past experiences, failures and triumphs to guide you towards more of what desire to have in your life. It’s ok to reflect back on your past, just ensure that you are learning from your history. Be mindful not to languish in past hurts, disappointments, and failures. Learn from the subtractions so that they can become an addition to you moving towards your best you. Keep your eyes on the prize and become an active participant in you living a dynamic life. Look back for experience, look forward for inspiration. Keep moving forward and refuse to quit.

Quitting is the ultimate defeat of the human spirit. It becomes our habitual way of responding to life’s difficult situations. And life is going to deal each and every one of us difficult situations. Persistence is not hard or arduous. Persistence of a champion adapts and overcomes. Conditions may not be ideal, but hanging in there and not giving up will make the taste of achievement that much sweeter.

Don’t limit yourself by saying what you can’t do or by professing that your dreams will never manifest. Stay focused, resilient and most of all patient. Expect great things to happen to you and through you, and don’t be surprised when it does; a lot can happen between now and never. Make the rest of this year the best of this year!

You Don’t Need Everybody To Like You, Just The Right People To Like You!

People are going to have their preconceived notions about you, and that shouldn’t be your concern; it’s their issue and theirs alone. It’s not your problem, leave that with them and let them deal with and sort out their own issue. Always work at becoming a better you, for yourself and for those who appreciate your presence in their lives. Don’t let the small minded, miserable, bitter individuals of this world keep you distraught, discouraged or downtrodden.

You will simply never be enough for some people. No matter what you do, they will never like you. Don’t waste the priceless moments of your precious life striving to win these people over. They have made up their mind and you will torture yourself by agonizing about if or when they will ever change their decision.

“Never hate you enemies, it affects your judgement” – Mario Puzo

Some people will only like you, or care for you when it suits them or when it accommodates their plan to  control what you do with your life. That’s not a relationship, it’s a sinking ship. Refuse to be intimidated and manipulated by people and forget about trying to please everybody. Don’t live your life worried about what everyone else thinks. Some people will find a excuse not to like you, and if they don’t find one, they’ll make up one. Whether it’s what you wear, who you date, your political views, what you post, how you feel, what you believe in or what you have; if people decide to be against you they’ll find a reason.

“Always forgive your enemies, nothing annoys them so much” – Oscar Wilde.

Don’t allow the perceptions and judgements of others to prevent you from being who you were created to become. Conforming your life to how others would have you to live is the true enemy of human happiness. There’s no need wasting valuable energy repaying the sentiments of the malicious with retribution, they don’t deserve that much control. Trust me, those people are already suffering. You’ll do yourself a favor just by disposing of the affiliation. Above all, remember that you were born with a purpose, full of energy within you to achieve the unthinkable and to perform the impossible. Believe in who you are, become your own #1 fan, and do everything in your power to LOVE YOURSELF!

The Greatest Risk In Life Is Not Taking One!

You can’t escape from a prison until you recognize you’re in one. Most people are  mentally caged in, shackled and cuffed by the fear of failure and they don’t even know it.

Overcoming failure is the ladder of success. With each rung of disappointment, discouragement and despair comes the valuable lessons that give us the willpower to continue scaling the ladder until success is obtained.

Never overlook the lessons learned from failure. Do what you can to strengthen your weaknesses but always keep your focus on the lesson learned and not on the destructiveness of failure.

We can’t expect to keep repeating the same disappointing decisions or making no decisions at all and expect a promotion in life. When we continually make the same mistake over and over it is no longer a mistake, it is a decision.

Maintain self control. Don’t let failures crush you, they are only valuable lessons. Timid minds rarely venture into risk taking because of fear of failure. They figure that doing nothing or playing it safe is better than taking a chance. The great motivator Jim Rohn said that all of life is a risk; in fact we’re not going to get out alive. Casualness leads to casualties.

All of life is a risk and all of our days are numbered so why not do all you can to maximize your moments here on earth. Taking a chance and betting on yourself is a must, and the fear of losing can’t be allowed to prevent you from action. Businesses can be rebuilt, broken bodies can be healed. Fortunes can be regained and even damaged  or destroyed reputations can be resurrected. Avoiding risk is like trying to learn how to skate without ever lacing them up on your feet. It’s mandatory that you have to fall more than once to become a proficient skater. So is the principles of life’s progress. Sometimes you have to expose yourself to danger, failure, ridicule, and embarrassment in order to achieve success. Study your craft, prepare yourself as best as you can and follow sound advice. Then be bold enough to make a move. Get the experience, it is a major component of accomplishment. Take risks daily and release yourself from the confines of “failure fear”.

Live The Life You Choose, Not The Life You Settle For!

“Successful people are simply those with successful habits.” – Brian Tracy

No one on earth is living to the maximum of their possibilities. We humans have unlimited potential but it’s our responsibility to hone and refine our skills to the upmost of our ability. Anything worth having is worth changing what you’re doing now in order to achieve. What is it that you could be doing to better your life? If its your diet, what food could you add that would make a healthy difference? If it’s your business, what could you study or learn that would help you to optimize your talents? Don’t focus on what you’re doing wrong or your “bad” habits. Begin to take positive steps that will enable you to become progressive. By continually adding beneficial attributes or “good” habits to your life, the things that are weighing you down will eventually be forced out of your schedule; you simply won’t have time for them.

Most experts say that it takes 21 days to develop a habit, but it only takes 1 second to decide to implement a new behavior. Take the initiative to develop habits that cause you to grow in every area of life. Develop habits that instill peace of mind and joy into your spirit. Develop habits that make your body strong and your mind sharp. Become the best YOU possible, because ten years from now you want to say that the life you’re living  is the life that you chose, and not the life that you settled for.

You did not come this far to lose. Never forget that you are a dominant, powerful, force to be reckoned with.

Belief Makes Things Happen!

That what you think, you create. What you feel, you attract, and what you imagine, you become!

“Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.”-Henry Ford

Desires and Fears alike both come from your thoughts. Negative thoughts attract just as powerfully and consistent as positive thoughts. Your thoughts and beliefs need to be concentrated on what you want, not what you don’t want, in order to attract those goals into your life. Only entertain thoughts that empower you.

Everything around you is a thought from some human being that has come into existence. All inventions and all discoveries derive from thought, and a person’s thoughts make or break them. What is it that you think about? There is magic in thinking and believing. Create a mental picture of your new life and take the action in order to bring it to pass. You must take action, because faith without works is dead. Do what it takes to bring into your life what you’ve always wanted. Change your thought life and you change your destiny!
